From the anatomy lab to the hospital's AI team.

In November 2024 I joined DHR Health as an IT intern and rotated through six departments: Integration, Server Administration, Network Security, Applications Development, Help Desk and Service Desk. Ten months later I was picked for the hospital's brand-new AI team, and within the first four months we had shipped 18 production tools that OR staff, nurses and administrators use every day.

Two promotions in 18 months later, I lead the hospital's AI & automation work: an operating-room inventory platform live across multiple sites (ORBIT), a real-time patient-flow dashboard fed by HL7 (Mission Control), a leadership project-management app on Azure (North Star), an AI call-center pipeline, and a private LLM on an air-gapped server. I present this work to executive IT leadership and set the development standards the team follows.

Before engineering I completed the pre-clinical medical curriculum at UT Health San Antonio and worked as a research associate on a Phase 2/2B Zika DNA vaccine trial. I still speak clinician, which is why I can sit with a charge nurse, read the workflow, and turn it into a spec the same afternoon.

I am Microsoft Certified (Azure AI Engineer Associate) and HL7 FHIR certified, I run a small consulting venture (Luigi AI LLC), and I am working through the prerequisites for a master's in computer science. I work fully remote on Gulf time and am open to remote US roles and to roles in Dubai and the wider GCC.
